Join the Conversation and Get Engaged in This Effort

Christ Church engages the social justice needs of our community in three areas: Grant-making (engaging our resources), Soul-making (engaging our people), and Justice-making (engaging our voices for advocacy). To make this work, a committee of church and community leaders identifies projects around which we raise money, bring in speakers to educate ourselves, and volunteer our time. Projects include a weekly food pantry, annual Thanksgiving dinner, childhood poverty, stewardship of the Earth, Race and Privilege, affordable housing, and immigration, among others.

Engage: Love your neighbor. Feed those who hunger. Advocate for justice.

Justice making: Be more explicit about using our voices to advocate for social justice.

Soul making: Create opportunities to engage our people in volunteer projects.

Grant making: Use our resources with the greatest impact to facilitate change in the world.
