In-Person Thanksgiving Meal this year!
This year's free Community Thanksgiving Meal will be held in our Parish Hall for the first time since Thanksgiving 2019. Hooray! If you’re hungry for a meal, for community, and for the joy of being together with good food, join us! Doors will open at 11am, and we will serve until we run out of food. That's usually around 2:00pm.
Here is the link to sign up for a volunteer slot. Schedule your group's Mashed Potato party now! You can help right away by asking a friend to join you in making a contribution (write "Thanksgiving" in the comment). A donation to help us buy the turkeys and supplies needed to feed our neighbors is a huge help. Sometimes, we have to make last-minute purchases, and it can be unpredictable. Financial contributions allow us to stay flexible, nimble, smart, and good-looking.
Our partners include Meals on Wheels, Alameda Interfaith Council, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Alameda Point Collaborative, Mastick Center, and more. We're working with Pacific Fine Foods to roast the dozens of turkeys needed, and we have requested a contribution of bread from Semmifreddi's. Local heroes, all! If you'd like to be a turkey hero, please consider signing up to cook a pan of stuffing or potatoes, to volunteer for the Clean & Green Team, and making a financial gift. We can't do this without you.
